SUMMARY

The Food Services Prep III is responsible for assisting with catering services, daily café operations, food preparation, customer services, staff support, and compliance with all food safety and health regulations. This role combines leadership, food productions, customer services, and operational responsibilities to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for team members and customers.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide friendly and professional customer services
  • Assist with café and catering operations, including food preparation, order fulfillment, delivery, and service for internal and external customers.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain café service areas and catering supplies, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper inventory rotation (FIFO).
  • Receive deliveries, monitor inventory levels, and assist with menu planning, food production forecasting, and ordering activities
  • Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health, and regulatory requirements, including temperature monitoring, proper storage procedures, and applicable ServSafe certification standards
  • Perform cashiering, opening and closing procedures, and other daily operational tasks as assigned
  • Maintain clean workspaces, equipment, and service areas; perform routine equipment care and report maintenance concerns
  • Provide guidance and operational support to team members and serve as acting lead during supervisor or manager absences when designated
  • Other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • ServSafe Manager Certification
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health code requirements
  • Ability to safely operate food service equipment, such as ovens, flat tops, and stoves
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Exceptional customer service to interact with a wide variety of customers
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, an move food products and supplies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in food service, café operations, catering, or hospitality
  • Prior supervisory experience

This position operates in a kitchen and cafeteria setting within a professional office environment. The kitchen area may be hot, floors may be slippery, and noise levels are typically moderate but can occasionally be loud.
