Business Analyst I


Peak Performers has partnered with a Texas State Agency to assist in their search for a hybrid Business Analyst I in Austin, Tx. In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs. 

Major duties

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.
  • Formulate systems that align with overall business strategies.
  • Perform business process engineering and identify new applications of technology to business problems.
  • Use industry-standard business process mapping and reengineering methods.
  • Prepare solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, and buy/build.
  • Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.

What are we looking for?

  • 4 years of experience documenting AASHTOWare Project projects and enhancements, including business requirements.
  • 4 years of experience writing detailed requirements for user stories and working with developers to answer questions.
  • 4 years of experience working with the business to understand needs and determine process versus functional requirements.
  • 4 years of experience partnering with the business and Scrum Master to determine priority and help groom the backlog.
  • 4 years of experience identifying gaps and requests that conflict with system functionality.
  • 4 years of experience shifting quickly between large tasks and small tasks.
  • 4 years of experience meeting milestones established for discovery.


Exciting Opportunity Details

  • Rate: $63.00/hour

  • W2 Contract

  • Worksite Location: Austin, Tx 78744

  • Hybrid

  • Contract Length: 1 Year
